Flexible Means: Creative Organization for Writing & Life

A zine about frameworks for ADHD-friendly and creative organization, assembled to accompany a workshop I gave in summer 2023.

In the summer of 2023, I put together a workshop about creative and (neuro)divergent organization for Sundae School, the first iteration of a small “playful art-and-practice retreat that blinks into existence for four days year.” Fittingly, I had rushed to the public library to photocopy a zine I’d put together for the workshop, already an hour later than when I’d planned to hit the road. Despite this chaotic mad dash, it had felt really good to gather up some of my ideas on this topic. (I also wrote about my experiences at Sundae School in this newsletter.)

Since then, I’ve wanted to buff this scrappy little zine into something more robust and less specific to Sundae School. But in the meantime, I did finally digitize this zine. Check it out for a glimpse of a work-in-progress, some working thoughts about creating a functional framework for living in that isn’t so prescriptive and messianic, my problem with so many of the resources about personal organization I’ve consulted over the years.

If you’d like to print the zine, here’s the original booklet format. Just download the PDF, print it (flip on short end), and fold it in half.
